Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

The Upgrade Group (TUG) was founded 14 years ago as a computer memory manufacturer and distributor selling to computer resellers and integrators. Over the years, our product line has grown but the philosophy has stayed the same. We supply high quality products; at market competitive prices; with a high value on customer service. Our goal is to develop and maintain long lasting client partnerships by delivering prompt and courteous attention to each and every customer and prospect. Today, we offer network/server memory, transceiver (GBIC) and cabling.  We specialize in compatible memory and transceivers solutions for manufacturers such as Cisco, Nortel and Juniper to name a few. 

We are looking for success-driven individuals who can prospect leads, develop opportunities and close deals in their assigned territory.
                                            
POSITION SUMMARY:
Directly responsible for contacting new prospects, developing new business relationships and selling TUG products. The goal is to develop long standing relationships with clients to insure repeat business while persistently cold calling to maintain a high-level of new business prospects/opportunities.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively qualify clients to assess their needs.
  • Attain and exceed outbound call objectives.
  • Attain and exceed sales goals.
  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain prospect information in sales management database for processing sales, and keeping comprehensive and accurate client information.
  • Timely and accurate activity reporting.
  • Implement sales tactics and leverage marketing programs in order to exceed assigned territory objectives
  • Self starter, organized and highly motivated
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Develop accounts by qualifying leads based on information from Internet Web sites, lead lists, customer referrals and other sources.
  • Solicit and maintain favorable contact with current and potential accounts through multilevel touch program of phone calls, e-mail, etc.
  • Research and develop quotes; provide product information, pricing, and availability to customers
  • Maintain sales and call quotas
  • Enter orders and manage tracking and logistical issues with customers
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction levels
  • Assist management in development of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecast and goals
  • Work with management to develop proactive marketing campaigns

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong initiative with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Sales and goal oriented.
  • Strong closing skills necessary
  • Results-driven with proven ability to sell and project a positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude
  • Must be self motivated and enjoy interacting with customers via the phone
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to be flexible and self sufficient.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, confident and competitive.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • 3+ years successful telesales experience including cold calling, qualifying and follow-up, ideally hardware solutions in an inside sales/telesales environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with contact management system a strong plus.
  • B.A. or equivalent preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This position offers a base salary plus commissions. As this is a sales position, heavy emphasis is placed on commission earnings. There is unlimited growth potential with an expectation to earn $100,000 inside of 2-3 years.   We offer full medical and dental insurance, vacation, sick, and personal time, as well as a Simple IRA.
